How to get out of an awkward situation?

Recently i told a guy i like about my feelings towards him...and now he's acting all weird and cold around me...kinda wish i neva said nefin...wat can i do now to get out of this awkwardness? Today he saw me...and completely ignored me...i feel like such an idiot for telling him that i liked him...i feel like i've ruined everything now...
