If move to San Francisco with a minimum wage job set up and a cheap apartment, will i be able to get by?

The job is slightly above minimum wage, like 10 an hour or so. Say i find an apartment for like 400(i have seen some on craigslist). Will this low paying job(for san fran, definitely) get me by with rent, food, cell phone etc. Im going to try to watch my money pretty close and not really spend it on anything unnecessary. I also have a few g's for cushion money when i get there. Just wanted to hear some opinions from people that live there or know anything about living in San Fran. Thanks for any input! P.S. I wont have a car down there, so we can cut those costs out.
