Have you ever been inlove with somebody who came from a broken family,& is so much still in pain from his past

his "past" includes all his relationships with his family/relatives and people who were there to look after him when he was still young...and now, a lot of his "past" are no longer with him and are not in good terms with him anymore due to some misunderstandings which he is sorry for, and that he never meant to happen...is it ok if i talk to one of his relatives and tell how much he is waiting for their hand to pick him up, for he tried and is still trying to talk to them, but nobody is there to give a hand... sometimes i wonder if he is with me not because he loves me,but because he is safe with me?but my love for him is,i can say unconditional...pls help me...
